Metiri Consultants Pty Ltd (Metiri) is locally owned and managed consulting firm based in Toronto, Lake Macquarie, NSW. We specialise in civil engineering, land surveying, and town planning, offering a wide range of services via a team of experienced professionals. Director

Jamie Russell

Jamie is a civil engineer and director of Metiri. He has over 8 years’ experience in civil engineering design, planning and project management spanning a wide range of land development and infrastructure projects.

Jamie leads the Metiri engineering team, overseeing all engineering design projects from initial concept through to detailed design and construction. He is a certified designer of sewerage and water supply infrastructure and is responsible for Metiri’s accredited design consultant status with Hunter Water Corporation.

Jamie has extensive experience in planning and project management relating to land subdivision projects, from initial feasibility assessment, through the development application and construction process, and ultimately to registration.

Jamie values responsiveness and accountability, ensuring he is always available for his clients and making sure they are informed on the status of their projects.

Sean Price

Sean is a land surveyor and director of Metiri. He has over 18 years’ experience in land surveying, planning and project management spanning a wide range of land development projects.

Sean leads the Metiri surveying team, overseeing all survey projects from initial client contact through to project delivery ranging from simple boundary and topographical detail surveys to multi-level apartment construction setouts and large-scale subdivisions.

Sean has extensive experience in planning and project management relating to land subdivision projects, from initial feasibility assessment, through the development application and construction process, and ultimately to registration.

Sean values a high level of communication with his clients and quality assurance. Sean ensures that throughout any project, big or small, clients will be well informed by the team along with a high standard of deliverables utilising the latest in technologies and software.

Daniel McCoy

Civil Engineer

Daniel is a civil engineer at Metiri. He has over 4 years’ of civil engineering design experience spanning a wide range of land development and infrastructure projects. Daniel has post-graduate training in stormwater quality management and is a certified designer of sewerage and water supply infrastructure design.

Matthew McCabe

Civil Engineer

Matthew is a civil designer at Metiri. He has over 8 years’ experience in civil engineering design spanning a wide range of land development and infrastructure projects. Matthew has post-graduate training in erosion and sediment control and is a certified designer of sewerage and water supply infrastructure design.

Leighton Austin

Graduate Civil Engineer

Leighton is a graduate civil engineer at Metiri. He joined the team in 2022 after the successful completion of his bachelor’s degree (with honours) in civil engineering and surveying at the University of Newcastle. Leighton has already gained valuable experience in civil engineering design spanning a wide range of land development and infrastructure projects.

Scott is a surveyor at Metiri. He has over 4 years’ experience in surveying spanning a wide range of surveying projects. Scott has extensive experience in service locating and since joining our team in 2021, Scott has gained valuable experience and skills in cadastral surveying specialising in Construction Setout, Boundary and Topographical Detail Surveys.

Brenton Nahirny

Survey Technician

Brenton is a lead survey technician at Metiri and joined our team in 2019. He has over 8 years’ experience in land surveying spanning a wide range of survey projects. Brenton spends most of his time in the field collecting data and placing marks for subdivisions, boundary and construction setout surveys. Brenton trains our staff in the field, specialising in the use of our latest technologies in survey equipment.

Greg is a registered surveyor at Metiri. He has over 40 years’ experience in land surveying, civil engineering design and planning spanning a wide range of land development and infrastructure projects. Greg assists both the engineering and surveying teams with high level technical input, expert advice, and quality assurance.

Nicole Crowe

Administrative Assistant

Nicole is an administrative assistant at Metiri. She is first point of contact for all inquiries and will direct you to whom you need to speak to within the team. Nicole has a diverse range of responsibilities including but not limited to client correspondence, work scheduling, office administration and social media.
